Special Events

Stillpoint: A Center for the Humanities & Community, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting a sense of community through the humanities. They endeavor to do so through readings, writers' workshops, author talks, music programs and other forums for experiencing and understanding the meaning of community in our lives.
 
The 2010 fall literary series includes two events, both of which will be held at the Academy of Chinese Martial & Cultural Arts. 
 
  • The first event, to be held on Sunday, October 17th, 4:00-5:30 p.m., speaks to the theme of Colorful Colorado, Characters & Places with authors Charmaine Getz, whose book "Weird Colorado" highlights unusual, wonderful and quirky places in our state; and Dick Kreck, sometimes referred to as Dr. Colorado, who will read from his most recent book, "Smalldone The Untold Story of an American Crime Family".  
  • The second event to be held on Sunday, November 7th, 4:00 - 5:30 p.m., is themed Memoirs, Memories and Musings.  Authors are being confirmed and more information is forthcoming.
